After the release of individual video teasers featuring members, Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun, Girls’ Generation‘s sub unit, Taetiseo, have released their much mini album “Twinkle” onto various music sites, including iTunes, MelOn, and Olleh. The mini-album consists of seven songs:

Composition

"Twinkle" falls into the funky soul genre with a mid-tempo reminiscent of a 70s-80s Stevie Wonder style song. The straightforward daring feel and lyrics show off the three members’ exceptional vocals. "Baby Steps" has a mid-tempo groove with a strong R&B style, also is a Korean version of the song with the same name of the American boy-band "Varsity Fanclub". "OMG" is an electronic-retro pop track with a unique sound, and "Love Sick" is about a shy girl who learns about love through her first crush. "Goodbye, Hello" is a track with a shuffle rhythm about not being able to believe that they just went through a break-up the day before. And "Checkmate" is a pop song with dominant drum sound.

The music video for Twinkle features Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun traveling from scene to scene while singing “Twinkle” as their outfits and hairstyles continuously change. After “Twinkle” finishes playing, the music video ends with a short clip from “안녕 (Good-bye, Hello)”, another track on the “Twinkle” mini-album.
