"It's the eye of the Hyorengi! Hyohunnies' jaws will drop as they watch SNSD's dancing queen show off her sexy, powerful vibes as she pops and locks her way into our hearts!"
Hyoyeon (효연) is a Korean pop singer, dancer, and promotional model. She is a sub vocalist and main dancer for Girls' Generation, and was a trainee with SM Entertainment for six years and one month. She is most known for her popping, waving, and Hip-hop dancing techniques that she learned from the Winners Dance School while she was a trainee. Prior to her debut, she traveled to Beijing, China in 2004 with Super Junior’s Siwon to learn Mandarin and more about Chinese culture.
She auditioned for SM Entertainment at the age of 11 through SM 2000 Casting System. Hyoyeon herself said, she had no intentions to audition, but her mother was a fan of SM Entertainment's boy band H.O.T. and brought her to the offices in the hopes, perhaps, of seeing them. She then danced in her audition show.
She learned Jazz dance, Latin dance, and a variety of other styles when she was in elementary school. She didn't become interested in Hip-hop dance until she entered junior high school. Due to her abilities as a dancer and performer, she has received comparisons towards Britney Spears.

Hyoyeon's Predebut Video:
"The most brutual training is training your own instincts: Hyoyeon"
"The time when I was punished most was not when I didn't practice, but when I acted rudely. Training my natural instincts was the hardest.
When I first came, after taking my profile picture I remember getting in a lot of trouble for not politely saying "Thank you for your trouble" to the staff.
It was something I didn't know... even now when I feel a sunbae that doesn't take greetings well, I hesitate.
Still, we're learning that whatever you do, you should do it greatly. Holding your facial expression is really hard.
When we're struggling mentally, we learned that we shouldn't show it on our faces because we're not the only ones enduring the hardships.
Also, we were corrected if our eyes or expressions weren't proper."
