After a short break,The group released their first self-titled full album in late autumn 2007 with the lead single ''Girls' Generation'' (소녀시대), a remake of Lee Seung-cheol's 1989 hit. Promotion for the single started in early November.
Girls' Generation released the teaser for their single "Girls' Generation" on October 29, 2007. The single was released on digital music sites on November 1, 2007. The official music video was unveiled on the same day.
To celebrate this cover, Lee Seung Chul appeared on KM M!Countdown with the girls performing the song.
The song was written and produced by Lee Seung-Chul and Song Jae Jun.
The song was used in episode 76 of You Are My Destiny, a drama that stars Yoona.
The album also included the group's first single Into the New World, Perfect For You retitled as Honey, and 8 other tracks by the group. In early 2008, Girls' Generation began promoting their second single from the album, Kissing You, which won the group their first k-chart win after getting the number one position on the KBS Music Bank February chart.

Girls' Generation
The music video started with a scene from the girls dancing while wearing oversized sweater. The video followed by the girls acting as they playing some role as group band members.

The next scene was the girls dancing in a park with various schoolgirl outfits and there are a lot of flashing scenes from the girls 1st album photoshoot.

The music video featured a cameo from Super Junior's Donghae as the shared love interest. The video followed a candy theme, with the group members dressed in white and dancing whilst holding a lollipop. The music video was released on January 14, 2008.
Rhythmer Volume 1 remix single
In January 2008, it was announced that people could submit their remixes of "Kissing You" to a website for a chance to have them officially released. The four chosen remixes were then digitally released in March 2008. The Skool Rock Remix Version, the top choice in the competition, was included in the re-release of their debut album.
